Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Overnight Train to Lao Cai
In the evening, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi at around 8:00 PM and transfer you to Hanoi Railway Station. From here, you will board the overnight train to Lao Cai, the gateway to Sapa.
The train usually departs at approximately 9:00 PM. Relax and enjoy the unique experience of traveling by night train through northern Vietnam as you make your way toward the mountains.

Day 2: Arrive in Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat Village – Ham Rong Mountain
You will arrive in Lao Cai early in the morning at around 6:00 AM. From the station, enjoy a short and scenic drive of about 30 minutes to Sapa town.
A day-use room will be arranged for early check-in so you can freshen up and prepare for the day. After breakfast, begin a short and easy trek of approximately 3 hours to Cat Cat Village, one of the most well-known ethnic villages near Sapa.
Nestled in the valley below Sapa, Cat Cat Village is home to the Black Hmong people and offers a fascinating introduction to local life in the mountains. As you walk through the village, you will have the chance to observe traditional houses, meet local residents, and learn more about their customs and way of life.
Later, continue to Ham Rong Mountain, where you can enjoy panoramic views over Sapa town and the surrounding valleys. The mountain offers one of the best viewpoints in the area and is ideal for photography and sightseeing.

Overnight in Sapa
Day 3: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa
After breakfast, set out for another exciting day of trekking through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Sapa region.
A short drive will take you to Lao Chai Village, where your trek begins. From the main road, walk downhill into the valley, passing through stunning terraced rice fields and peaceful mountain scenery. Lao Chai is home to the Black Hmong community and is one of the most picturesque villages in the region.
During the walk, you will have a wonderful opportunity to interact with local families and gain a deeper understanding of their traditional lifestyle, farming practices, and daily routines.
Around midday, stop at a local riverside restaurant to enjoy a picnic lunch in a tranquil natural setting.
In the afternoon, continue trekking for about one and a half hours through local hamlets and scenic countryside until you reach Ta Van Village, home to the Giay ethnic group. Enjoy a scenic drive of around 2 hours to Cao Son Market, located in a mountainous area surrounded by pine forests and remote villages. This market is attended by several ethnic groups such as the Flower Hmong, Tu Di, Tay, and Giay.
Here, local people come to trade food, agricultural products, livestock, textiles, and household goods. After visiting the market, continue to Muong Khuong for lunch. Later, visit peaceful nearby villages where you can observe traditional practices such as corn wine distillation and sample local corn cake in a village home.
Option 2: Bac Ha Market (Sunday)

Lunch is served at Bac Ha Market before continuing to Trung Do Village to explore Tay traditional houses and the peaceful countryside.
Option 4: Coc Ly Market (Tuesday)
Set beside the Chay River and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, Coc Ly Market takes place every Tuesday morning. Ethnic communities from nearby villages gather here to trade a wide range of local products.
After exploring the market, you will be transferred back to Lao Cai Station in the evening to board the overnight train back to Hanoi.
Later in the day, regardless of your chosen option, you will be driven to Lao Cai for your return overnight train journey to Hanoi.
