The Vietnam eVisa system uses automatic facial recognition technology, and it can be quite strict.

Reasons for a low photo match rate:

The portrait photo is blurry, or the passport photo page is blurry.

The passport was issued many years ago, so the applicant’s facial features may have changed over time (this is common in children).
